# Plans and pricing

> Free, Starter, Pro, and Teams: token allowances, analytics, domains, and what each step up unlocks.

Vaulter has a free plan you can build real apps on, and paid plans that unlock publishing polish, growth tools, and more room to build. Plans are monthly, per workspace. Current prices are on the [pricing page](/pricing).

## How usage works

Vaulter meters AI work in **tokens**. Every plan includes a monthly token allowance, and your usage page shows the pool and what you have used. Small changes on fast models sip tokens; big features on the deepest model drink them. See [Choosing a model](/docs/building/choosing-a-model).

Two limits apply to the pool:

- The **monthly allowance**, which resets each billing period. Unused monthly tokens do not carry into the next period.
- A **daily limit**, so one runaway day cannot spend the whole month. On Starter and Pro the daily limit is 20 percent of the monthly allowance you chose. Free has a fixed daily limit. Teams has no daily limit.

If you need more before the month resets, paid plans can buy **top-up tokens**. Top-ups never expire, and they are spent after the monthly allowance runs out, including once the daily limit is reached.

Publishing has its own limit, counted per workspace over a rolling 24 hours. Previewing your app is never limited.

## Free

For building and exploring, at no cost.

- 1 million tokens per month, with a daily limit of 300,000.
- 1 project, and 10 publishes per day.
- Full builder: the agent, live preview, database, auth, and publishing all work.
- Sign-in for your app's own users, up to 20 users.
- Published apps carry the "Built with Vaulter" badge and are [kept out of search engines](/docs/growth/seo).
- File uploads to 10 MB. Analytics, connectors, Vaulter Max, and Plan mode are locked.

## Starter, from $25/month

The step up when you are ready to launch something real.

- Choose your monthly allowance, from 2 million tokens at $25 up to 50 million. The daily limit is 20 percent of whatever you choose.
- Top-up tokens that never expire.
- Unlimited projects, and 50 publishes per day.
- [Connect a custom domain](/docs/publish/connect-domain) you already own.
- Badge removal, so your app is fully your own.
- Search indexing for your published app, including [Google auto-indexing](/docs/growth/google-indexing).
- Private projects, and [require sign-in to view](/docs/auth/public-vs-private).
- [Analytics](/docs/growth/analytics): Overview, Realtime, and Conversion, with 500,000 events per month and 90 days of history.
- Up to 3 connectors, file uploads to 50 MB, and email support.
- Vaulter Max and Plan mode unlocked, and you can sell templates on the marketplace.

## Pro, from $80/month

For serious apps with real traffic. Everything in Starter, plus:

- Choose your monthly allowance, from 6 million tokens at $80 up to 150 million. The daily limit is 20 percent of whatever you choose.
- 200 publishes per day.
- Unlimited connectors.
- The Revenue analytics view, 365 days of history, and 5 million events per month.
- [Buy a custom domain](/docs/publish/buy-a-domain) in Vaulter. One domain a year is included with the plan.
- Export your code to GitHub and keep it in sync.
- Custom code in the head, PWA install, custom error pages, and your own branding on the sign-in portal and auth emails.
- Highest quality image generation, file uploads to 100 MB, and early access to new features.

## Teams, from $35 per editor seat, per month

Everything in Pro, built for working together in one shared workspace. Teams is billed per editor seat, with a minimum of 2 seats.

- Choose a seat size: 3, 5, 8, or 12 million tokens per editor seat, per month, at $35, $55, $85, or $120 per seat. Every seat in the workspace is the same size.
- One shared subscription and one shared token pool, which is the seat size multiplied by the number of editor seats.
- No daily token limit, and unlimited publishing.
- Up to 10 editors, with roles (owner, admin, editor, viewer). Viewers are free and unlimited.
- Per member token budgets, per member usage analytics, and a workspace audit log.
- A shared workspace design system, workspace private templates, and connector approval for members.
- 10 million analytics events per month.

## Choosing

- Building and learning: **Free** goes a long way.
- Launching your app to the public: **Starter** is the launch plan.
- Real traffic, revenue tracking, a domain you buy in Vaulter: **Pro**.
- More than one builder: **Teams**.

## Frequently asked

#### Is there a free trial?

The free plan is better than a trial: it does not expire. Build and publish a real app at no cost, and upgrade when you hit its edges.

#### Do unused monthly tokens carry into next month?

No; the monthly allowance resets each billing period. Purchased [top-ups](/docs/account/tokens) are the exception: they persist until spent.

#### Can I get more tokens without changing plans?

Two ways: move up your plan's token ladder (a bigger monthly allowance, same plan), or buy a one-time top-up. Both are in Billing and the Tokens panel.

#### What happens to my apps if I downgrade?

Your apps stay live and your data stays put. You lose the paid capabilities going forward: features above your new plan stop being available, and the new plan's limits apply.
